The William
Brearley Home
| McIver Williamson
of Darlington, SC built the home in 1912, and named it for his boyhood
pastor, the Reverend William Brearley. Originally a guest lodge for
ministers attending conferences, now groups of all ages, families and
individuals enjoy the peaceful mountain setting and warm hospitality. |

The William Brearley
Home has 16 guestrooms and 8 (private use) hall
bathrooms on the three floors of the home. The first floor also has a
spacious lobby with a gas log fireplace and a meeting room where reading,
table games, spiritual studies, worship, and end of the day conversations
take place. It also has a front porch overlooking the valley that
provides opportunities for enjoying the view, reading and developing
friendships. The ground floor houses the guest kitchen and the breakfast
dining room.
A 1985 addition to the second floor is Suite Carolina. It
features a queen size bed, sitting area, kitchen, and private bath. All
newly renovated as of the 2008 season. A true shift into a luxury
accommodation at a great rate!
